IRFF Moldova 2009 activities report
   
     In 2009 we continued with the Italian branch of IRFF the Long Distance Adoptions project where we help constantly 300 orphaned children from boarding school Nr. 2 in Chisinau city and boarding school in Balti city. The aid consisted of procuring clothing for orphans 4 times/year and also those schools according to their current needs have benefited with other types of aid from us: building materials, kitchen repair, etc.
    As where planed we organized monthly meetings on the creation of a culture of peace topic. At these meetings were invited well-known personalities and leading figures in civil society. These meetings were completed with Youth Leaders Summit for Peace and Development 2009, theme where: "Mankind is a family - A NEW VISION FOR PEACE IN XXI century" on March 21. With its Motto: "Living for the sake of others" - the only solution to solve modern problems and sustainable development, summit was attended by 300 participants: the leaders in all spheres of life, youth leaders from Moldova and abroad. Another initiative Youth changes the world organize several service projects every month. On 29 April 2009 Philanthropic Association IRFF ONLUS, Center region Pretura of Chisinau City Hall and partners, join the initiative GLOBAL YOUTH SERVICE DAY 2009 following the motto living for the greater good we organize an sanitation and ecological service project at Rose Valley Park near the building Romanita, with 80 participants. There were collected two trailers of trash that have been thrown out from the leisure resting in park of the inhabitants of Chisinau, also where cleaned one spring which flows through the park which banks were filled with waste. On May 6 Philanthropy Association IRFF ONLUS volunteers, students from lyceum "Nicolae Iorga", Botanic region Pretura and Green Spaces Organization of Chisinau totally 50 participants have done a small act of charity - they cleaned the park at the “gates” of the city near the zoo. Constantly we organize social and cultural programs for disability children from Boarding school N.5 and elders from Republican Elders house. To facilitate national and international volunteer work for the benefit of society we organize meetings, seminars and internships etc. training programs weekly. 
    On October 10, IRFF Moldova organized the annual European Fundraising Summit. The Summit take place in Chisinau Moldova, as a one-day professional development event focusing on cutting-edge fundraising strategies and initiatives. The European Fundraising Summit 2009 was offering the latest national and international news about grants, sponsors, partnerships, donations and awards, also was providing the opportunity for profit, government and nonprofits organizations to network. The Fundraising Summit became a great source of relevant information for fundraising managers, executives and Grant makers. It was also a great place to network with others from within the industry. Fifteen participants of the European Fundraising Summit: Individuals, NGO’s, etc. organizations came to study how to raise more funds and gain an in-depth understanding of critical and developing areas. Agenda was rich in topics such as: “All fundraising strategies”, “Recent technologies and tools for fundraising”, “Sharing of then best practices in fundraising”, “Presentation of foundations grants programs”. Summit finish at a very good note with all participants wish for next year summit to be more prosperous in our challenge society.
    At the very difficult time of world pandemic with swine flu, Philanthropic Association IRFF ONLUS organized on November 14th and 15th the annual Global Health Expo. The Health expo take place at the Labor Institute, Chisinau capital city of Moldova republic in EUROPE. A two-day professional development event was focusing on cutting-edge healthy lifestyle strategies and initiatives. Global Health Expo 2009 with its motto: Healthy living as the norm of life was giving the latest global news about healthy lifestyle products and services. With its harmonizing goal Global Health Expo welcome 10 healthy lifestyle services and products providers which give presentations about their latest developments. Their presentations where: Beautiful life with “prevention of health problems”, Oriflame with „Welness”, Family Federation with “Family at the best place for healthy life, International Education Foundation with “Character development as a foundation for healthy lifestyle”, IRFF ONLUS with AIDS reality in Moldova, Zepter International with “New bio technologies”, Region Center with” Corrector for well living” and NGO "Youth For Understanding”. The Global Health expo became a great source of relevant information also a great place to network with others from within the industry for: doctors, businessman’s, nurses, medical assistants, medical practitioners, volunteers, medical students, peer education teams, etc healthy lifestyle agents, amateurs and all other participants.  The Global Health expo became a very good tradition and will be organized every year.
    To help young people in our country on December 4 AF IRFF ONLUS organized an exhibition with the latest news about services and products for students and youth. The event has become a vast source of relevant information, a perfect place to cooperate with different people in the field for the 70 participants: young people, students, high school students, business people, amateurs and the general public.
    IRFF Moldova constantly organizes: advice meetings, courses, internships, seminars on projects writing and fundraising strategies, everybody could participate in our programs or invite us to organize them at you office, contact us by our official web portal: www.irffmd.net .
    These were the activities of the IRFF Moldova in 2009. Next year we want to achieve even more to help solve problems facing our society and help it prosperity.
